The Munchkin Mozart Magic Cube is an award winning toy that recommended for budding young composers.  What it lets you child do is interact with music on a level never given to a baby toy before.  The Magic Cube is a cube that has six different instrument images, one on each side.  Each side is also a different bright color, such as yellow, magenta, blue, green, and purple.   The first step of your child’s musical journey is to see the different pictures of all the instruments and be able to recognize them.

Next, your child is able to hear the sounds that each instrument makes with the press of a button.  After some time they will come to remember that if they press on the image of the flute, they will hear the flute sound.  If they press on the image of the French horn, they will hear a different sound, and so on.  This teaches cause and effect as well as introduces your child to the tones of different instruments.

Later on, your child and layer the music, the budding composer part.  For example, a certain song will start playing on the flute.  If he then touches the piano button the piano part of the song will be played in addition to the flute.  He can keep touching buttons until the whole orchestra is playing the same song.  Then he can watch the lights on the sides of the Munchkin Mozart Magic Cube flash along with the beat.  He gets an entire musical experience in a single cube.
